Description

Ingredients
- 3 to 4 Ajwain leaves
- 1 inch Fresh turmeric root (turmeric powder can also be used if Fresh turmeric is not available)
- 2 cups Water
- 1 tsp Jaggery powder (you can add more if you like your drink sweeter)
Instructions
- In a mortar and pestle add turmeric root and ajwain leaves and crush it to a fine paste.
- Keep it aside.
- In a pan take 2 cups of water bring it to a boil and add the Ajwain – turmeric paste.
- Stir it well so that the paste mixes with the water.
- Let it simmer on low heat for 3 to 4 minutes till the water reduces to half its quantity i.e. one cup.
- Now add the jaggery powder and mix well.
- Strain the drink in a cup and enjoy it hot.
