Corn Patties is very tasty recipe and it is very easy to prepare it. It is super delicious and it is a very flavorful recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • 2 medium size potatoes boiled and peeled
  • 1 medium size onion finely chopped
  • 1 medium size capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 medium size carrot finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies finely chopped
  • 1 inch ginger finely chopped
  • 1 medium size capsicum finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 1 tsp amchur powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • ½ cup coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Let us first cook the corn kernels in 2 cups of water.
  2. Once the corn kernels are cooked drain off all the excess water and let it cool down completely.
  3. Transfer the corn kernels to a blender and grind them roughly.
  4. Heat a kadai add the ground corn kernels to the kadai and saute on medium heat so that all the excess water evaporates. Let it cool.
  5. Now heat a kadai and add oil. Saute the finely chopped onions and ginger on medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes or till the onions turn translucent.
  6. Transfer the sauteed onions to a large mixing bowl and add the ground corn kernels, boiled potatoes, salt, finely chopped green chilies, red chili powder, amchur powder, rice flour, coriander leaves, finely chopped capsicum and carrots and salt.
  7. Mix them all very well and form a dough.
  8. Take small portions of the dough size of a golf ball and form small cutlets.
  9. You can give any shape of your choice. I have given them a square shape.
  10. Keep the cutlets in the fridge so that they become firm.
  11. You can deep fry them or shallow fry them.
  12. If you are shallow frying then heat a girdle or tawa and add oil.
  13. Now add the cutlets and fry them till they become golden brown from both the sides. It takes about 3 to 4 minutes to fry each side on low heat.
