With the winters approaching we all need an immunity drink to boost our metabolism. Kadha as it is widely called has ingredients which are easily available in our homes. This immunity drink not only boosts our immunity but is a great healer if you are suffering from cough and cold.



  • 1 inch Ginger – sliced
  • 7 to 8 Pepper Corns
  • 5 to 6 Cloves
  • 1/2 inch Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Honey/Jaggery
  • 5 to 6 Tulsi Leaves/ Basil Leaves
  • 2 cups Water


  1. In a mortar and pestle put all the above ingredients except water n honey and make a paste.
  2. Put water in a vessel and add the paste.
  3. Bring it to a boil and reduce the flame.
  4. Let it simmer for 10 minutes till the quantity of water is reduced to half i.e. 1 cup.
  5. Now add honey or jaggery and stir. Boil 1 more minute.
  6. Strain it with a strainer n enjoy your immunity drink…Kadha.
  7. You can even increase the quantity and make 3 to 4 cups and store it in the refrigerator.
  8. And heat it up when ever you want to drink it.Immunity Drink...Kadha Image
